Reading all common codes on the market, the BVS Ident vision sensor from Balluff checks the markings on products regardless of whether they are labelled with 1D codes (barcodes) or 2D codes (Data Matrix codes).
Text and sequences of numbers such as code plain text can be verified using OCV (optimal character verification), giving results as a simple ‘Inspection OK’ or ‘Inspection not OK’. To view the read code data to ascertain which parts are being processed, users can output via the RS232 or Ethernet interface.
The BVS Ident forms a new part of the expanding range of Balluff ’s Vision sensors. Included is the BVS-E advanced vision sensor with 360 ̊ position tracking. This monitors the rotational position, detecting an object regardless of the location and position.
