For harsh environments
21 June 2013
The new Harting Han(R) Q High Density is a rectangular connector for signal contacts which delivers the highest contact density to date in the company’s compact Han(R) 3A size range. It incorporates 21 D-Sub contacts, including one designed as a leading contact.

The new connector has been developed to address the challenges presented by harsh ambient conditions where ease of handling is needed in addition to the connector being dust-proof, dirt-proof and waterproof. In particular, it can be used in environments in which gloves are worn: something that is not possible with the conventional D-Sub connector.
The new connector meets this requirement because it can be used in all housing models of the Harting Han(R) 3A size. Housing types include metal and plastic housings for use in interior and exterior environments, EMC housings for high screening attenuation applications and stainless steel housings for extreme requirements such as those typically found in the food industry.
