A highly efficient press line automation concept has won STROTHMANN Machines & Handling its biggest contract ever.
With a total volume of 25 million Euros, the contract for a major German automotive manufacturer comprises the retrofitting of several press lines in different locations.
STROTHMANN is currently implementing a comprehensive handling solution for the fourth out of five large-scale crossbar presses, covering all steps at three presses including feeding, transfer, and feed-out at the end of the press line. Based on linear servo technology, the CompactTransfer system which renders orienting stations between press stations unnecessary is a key component.
