ODU – not your average connector company

ODU serves many OEM markets, such as military and medical equipment, instrumentation, factory automation & robotics. 

As a true ‘problem-solving’ supplier, ODU develops both connectors and packaging, so as to provide cost-effective solutions to the problems of modern-day electronics.

Example: a test equipment manufacturer was having technical problems, taking cost out of a new design that needed bulk-head connectors to handle mixed-signals.

Solution: ODU provides sub-assemblies with custom inserts for a standard push-pull connector. Each insert incorporates two high-frequency coax with flying leads, plus a further 16 signal contacts PCB-mounted, with an SMT flex-foil to the main PCB.

Result: technical problems solved + assembly reduced = considerable cost savings.
