ARES 5300
05 July 2016
The ATEX-Compliant embedded controller features a wide operating temperature range, wide DC power input and comprehensive I/O interfaces.

ARBOR Technology, a leading provider of embedded computing solutions, is pleased to announce the ARBOR ARES-530WT, a new DIN-rail fanless embedded controller based on the Intel® Bay Trail processor platform. The industrial-grade ARES-530WT builds on the concept of the popular ARES-5300 and addresses the needs of customers who require a wider operating temperature range from -40 to 80 °C, as well as more extensive I/O and configuration options.
The ARES-530WT meets the demands of extreme industrial automated management and control applications in potentially explosive or hazardous atmospheres such as mining, oil & gas, and many manufacturing operations. Connected to centralized monitoring systems, the ARES controller can collect and manage real-time data including volume, temperature and pressure of gases, vapors or liquids, ensuring operator and plant safety, security and reliability.
Thanks to its fanless and cableless design, the ARES-530WT offers protection against dust contamination, thus guarding against operation shutdowns while extending product life. In addition to its wide temperature capability, the unit accepts wide-range DC power input (9~36V) to handle potential power fluctuations. The ARES-530WT is ATEX-compliant for use in hazardous areas, and has CE, FCC Class A and UL 508 (J1900 SKU) certifications to guarantee the highest standards in the fields of protection and security.
The ARES-530WT comes with either the Intel® Bay Trail Celeron® J1900 or Atom™ E3845 processors, and supports up to 8GB of DDR3L SO-DIMM to deliver optimal computing performance. It provides comprehensive I/O, including dual COM ports (RS232/422 and RS422/485), multi-USB (1 x USB 3.0 and 5 x USB 2.0), dual displays, and dual Intel i210IT Gigabit LAN for redundancy. A half-size Mini-Card socket and two mSATA sockets facilitate additional internal expansion.
