Schematics from the cloud

10 January 2020

CAE software provider EPLAN has launched EPLAN eBUILD, new cloud-based software for highly automated generation of electrical and fluid power schematic diagrams.

There is no charge for accessing EPLAN eBUILD, which is intended for users of EPLAN Platform 2.8 who want to take their first steps into the cloud environment. The only requirement is that users register for EPLAN ePLUSE cloud services. Existing users of EPLAN software will find it easy to get started with eBUILD. After registering, they simply open a project and select their required tasks in the usual way. Then, at the click of a mouse, eBUILD will generate schematics that are fully compatible with EPLAN Electric P8 electrical design software and EPLAN Fluid design software.

EPLAN eBUILD works with stored macros for producing schematic diagrams, instead of requiring repeated access to data for individual devices and components. Because it includes the corresponding logic and variants for each device or component, it speeds up the design process enormously. In addition, its smart functionality makes it an exciting system to use. With EPLAN eBUILD, engineers can focus on their core tasks, such as product innovation, as onerous and time-consuming traditional design methodologies become a thing of the past.
