Water industry enclosures
26 April 2013
Suitable for use in the water industry, Rittal's CS New Basic enclosures, made of aluminium, offer advantages over conventional plastic or glass-fibre-reinforced enclosures.

More flexibility in the manufacturing of switchgear and better protection against weather influences mean this highly robust material is particularly suited to rugged outdoor enclosure technology use. Aluminium also withstands external conditions much better than glass fibre due to the resistance of the material to UV radiation.
Another advantage of aluminium is its flexibility as enclosures can be built in the desired size much more quickly. By contrast, plastic requires the designing of casting moulds, which is both protracted and cost-intensive.
