Cloud-based remote management
20 June 2013
According to HMS Industrial Networks, power generator maintenance costs can be reduced through cloud-based remote management.

Being able to analyse the operation of each generator remotely, can give a better understanding of their health and the ability to more efficiently schedule field service visits only when needed.
It is also possible to test start generators remotely to reduce start-up problems. This is of particular benefit for back-up power generators that are not operated very often.
Helping to prevent the growing problem of fuel theft, a remote monitoring system that connects to a fuel sensor can be used to ensure that the right amount of fuel is delivered at a refill.
