Faster processing for BOA smart camera
13 November 2013
A 1.2 GHz dual core processor brings 4 times the processing speed compared to standard models for the new BOA 200, the latest addition to Teledyne DALSA's BOA range of smart cameras.

With additional memory for both program execution and solution storage, the BOA 200 offers excellent price/performance for applications that demand higher speed or higher resolution processing.
The BOA 200 is packaged in a small rugged IP67-rated enclosure that fits easily into existing production lines, machinery or moving equipment, especially where space is at a premium or where washdown is required. Like the other models in the BOA range, it is available with a choice of monochrome or colour sensors as well as three versions of embedded software to provide users with maximum flexibility. Sensor resolution ranges from 640 x 480 pixels to 1600 x 1200 pixels.
The embedded software applications available are: iNspect Express, IDR and Sherlock. The versatile iNspect Express software is designed to offer a balance between ease-of-use and flexibility, while IDR is a subset of iNspect Express streamlined for identification and tracking applications. Sherlock is an advanced application that offers maximum design flexibility and can be applied to a wide variety of automated inspection applications. All three software packages include a comprehensive suite of tools and capabilities, as well as support for standard factory protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus and ProfiNet.
