The POSIMAG® range of both linear and rotary, non-contacting incremental encoders are very compact and have the ability to work at high speed with a resolution to 1µm. The linear encoder tape is available in lengths up to 50000mm. The linear units are available in three options.
First a self-adhesive tape can be fixed direct. Second a "low profile” system that the tape can be fitted into. Third a "High Profile” system which also allows the reader head to be fitted into a sliding carrier. End points and reference points can be added to assist the application.
The rotary units are available as an encoder ring and come in several sizes and can give up to 512 pulses per radial degree or a total of 184,320 PPR. Both systems are able to work at high speed in tough environments and have HTL, TTL or TTL24 as output options. The POSIMAG® reader head is equipped with a LED indicator which will highlight any velocity or positional errors.
