Designed by engineers for engineers
22 August 2023
STAGED EXCLUSIVELY for machine builders, systems integrators and OEMs keen to automate, MachineBuilding.Live will take place on Wednesday 4 October.
The event is being organised by The Engineering Network (TEN) and held at the National Motorcycle Museum, adjacent to the NEC. The facility is easy to find, easy to access, offers abundant free parking right outside the exhibition entry door and contains one of the largest collections of classic motorcycles to be found anywhere in the world.
More than 100 exhibitors are already booked to appear at MachineBuilding.Live, all of them experts in their chosen area of specialism. Between them, the organisers estimate that more than 1000 brand new products for machine builders and systems integrators will be available to discover and discuss on the day, many of them being shown for the first time in the UK.
The format of MachineBuilding.Live is unique and has been designed by engineers for engineers. It is a compact event that allows visitors to see everyone and everything in the minimum of time, and the majority of visitors are able to visit the event, discover answers, solutions and ideas and still be back in the office for the afternoon.
For machine builders keen to better understand some of the more critical aspects of machine safety and design, a bespoke speaker programme has been organised, with a variety of sessions – all of them free of charge – hosted by some of the best names in the business. Because each presenter is at the leading edge of developments in their chosen sector, visitors attending these sessions have the opportunity to capture a useful edge on their competitors: but places are strictly limited and visitors are urged to make an early reservation for a place at each session. The complete programme can be seen at the event website, MachineBuilding.Live.
Pre-registered VIP visitors (ie machine builders, systems integrators and staff from OEMs seeking to automate) also benefit from a free breakfast roll and brew on arrival (before 11:00 am) as well as receiving a free Museum Pass which is otherwise priced at £15.
“This is a working event and a unique learning opportunity,” says TEN managing director Luke Webster. “In addition, it also a place for the UK machine building community to come together and talk, too. It’s pleasing to see from existing visitor registrations that we’re expecting to welcome complete engineering teams from many of the country’s leading machine builders.”
