EMC Centre Of Excellence
02 November 2012
TÜV SÜD Product Service has invested £400,000 in its West Midlands laboratories to create a CE marking and EMC centre of excellence hub in the region.

Based at Bearley, near Stratford-upon-Avon, the new laboratories will deliver EMC and Product Safety services which will support the CE marking and certification of machinery.
The investment has created one of the largest EMC and safety test facilities in the region. The 3m semi- anechoic EMC chamber has doors 3.5m by 3m high, which will allow TÜV SÜD to test more substantial industrial equipment.
By combining the upgraded EMC test chamber with large laboratories, tests can be completed more quickly, delivering machinery manufacturers a shorter time to market for new products and reduced testing costs. Within four years, TÜV SÜD aims to double its sales revenue and the size of its workforce of expert engineers.
