Integrated signalling solution

WERMA's latest integrated signalling solution, LineLIGHT Fusion Segment, features a segmented lighting function

WHEN WERMA introduced the first modular signal tower KombiSIGN, it defined a new standard for industrial signalling. The company follwered with the development of LineLIGHT Fusion – the first fully integrable signaling solution – and has now laucnhed next evolutionary stage in the form of LineLIGHT Fusion Segment.
This new variant makes it possible to divide the light pattern into several segments and display machine statuses even more precisely, individually, and intuitively. For example, two states can be signalled simultaneously, indicating an even more specific need for action. An automatic scaling function is also available, allowing process steps or progress to be clearly displayed.
Function and design
The LineLIGHT Fusion series integrates the display of machine statuses directly into the machine surface. The flush-mounted, smooth surface of the light module blends seamlessly into the machine housing and creates a clear, functional appearance. In addition, LineLIGHT Fusion meets the highest hygiene and protection requirements: the seamless design prevents dirt edges and reliably prevents the ingress of dust or liquids, making it ideal for sensitive production environments.
LineLIGHT Fusion Segment is available in a 200mm version, which gives a choice of continuous light image or division into two 100mm light segments; and a 300mm version with which up to three light segments are possible – one continuous light, two or three segments, with each being individually colour-controllable. This creates clearly defined segments within the light image without the need for additional modules or physical separations. The entire light remains active at all times, but the individual segments light up in different colours at the same time to, for example, simultaneously signal process status, warnings, or approvals.
The new segment function delivers benefits for machine and plant manufacturers by enabling precise process representation through clearly defined machine states or phases such as 'Operation' and 'Material required'. It provides flexibility with freely configurable light patterns that can be adapted without any additional hardware or structural modifications. By allowing a single light to replace multiple signal modules, it enables efficient integration while reducing installation, cabling, and maintenance efforts. At the same time, the modern, flush-mounted design eliminates visual interruptions, making it ideal for maintaining a clean, consistent, and high-quality machine appearance.
Combiing functionality, aesthetics, and efficiency, LineLIGHT Fusion Segment is suited to machines and systems, automation and assembly lines, conveyor and transport systems, driverless transport systems (AGVs), and all industrial applications with metal or sheet metal housings.
Easy integration
The homogeneous illumination ensures clear, uniform display and guarantees excellent visibility even from a distance. A loud buzzer can be integrated as an option to provide additional acoustic warning of important machine statuses.
Various mounting options are available; modules can be screwed in place with variably adjustable clips or attached with high-quality industrial adhesive tape. Thanks to sliding adapters, flexible positioning is possible at any time.
LineLIGHT Fusion meets the requirements of protection class IP54. Thanks to the special sealing concept, the light protects the interior of the machine from dust and water ingress even with protection class IP65 when installed.
