Liquid-cooled servomotor range
16 March 2026
CP AUTOMATION has added the MAC QW Series of liquid-cooled asynchronous electric servomotors from Vascat to its growing range of high-performance motion and drive technologies.

The motors’ innovative liquid-cooling design removes heat directly from critical internal components, supporting reliable performance in demanding applications, reducing overheating risks at low speeds and enabling more compact machine designs.
The MAC QW Series features an innovative cooling design where coolant flow is engineered to pass through the stator windings rather than only around the motor housing.
This advanced thermal management enables high torque output at low speeds while maintaining low current consumption, meaning industrial customers can achieve improved efficiency, more compact machine layouts and stable machine performance.
By combining the new Vascat motor range with its in-house engineering expertise, CP Automation can deliver complete system solutions beyond motor supply.
It can retrofit the servomotors into existing systems, regenerative energy solutions and integrated power monitoring setups, meaning customers can optimise both performance and energy usage across entire installations.
“The MAC QW Series offers a range of performance benefits, including dynamic performance, high overload capacity and high power density, which can result in dimension savings,” explains Josep M. Serra, international sales manager. “Being liquid-cooled, our asynchronous servomotors can provide high-performance power, and partners like CP Automation add real value by engineering complete solutions tailored to individual applications.”
“Our industrial customers increasingly rely on drive systems that deliver high torque and efficiency without increasing machine size or energy consumption,” added Andy Swann, global business manager – cranes and power transmission at CP Automation.
“By adding the MAC QW liquid-cooled motor range, we can now combine advanced motor technology with our in-house engineering expertise to deliver complete, application-focused solutions, helping customers improve performance, efficiency and long-term operational reliability,” continued Swann.
The MAC QW Series is well-suited to demanding applications, including converting and printing machines, plastics and rubber processing, testing systems and marine. These are all heavy industrial environments where precise speed control, high torque and reliable operation are critical.
The Series is available in power ratings of 40 to 675 kW and frame sizes of 225-315mm and comes equipped with low noise and vibration capabilities – making them ideal for heavy-duty applications that require consistent performance, compact integration and reliable operation at low speeds.
By working closely with customers to correctly size and integrate motors, drives and energy management solutions, CP Automation can help customers modernise their equipment while improving long-term performance and operational efficiency.
With the MAC QW range, CP Automation can support customers with both new machine builds and retrofit projects, providing tailored drive and motion solutions backed by engineering expertise and ongoing technical support.
