New I/Os for field installation
21 August 2023
PHOENIX CONTACT is extending its portfolio of I/O systems for control-cabinet-free automation with the new generation of Axioline E communication modules. The devices satisfy both the current and future requirements for field installation.
Featuring high IP65/IP67 degree of protection and a fully encapsulated zinc die-cast housing, the I/O modules are designed for direct use in a machine under harsh ambient conditions. The initial portfolio includes digital input and output devices as well as IO-Link masters as Profinet devices. All devices feature L-coded M12 connectors for the 2 x 16 A power supply.
In addition, a new IO-Link I/O box with eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs and a new IO-Link I/O box with four analog inputs for temperature sensors supplement the initial portfolio. All modules of the new generation enable flexible field wiring with proven M12 screw connectors or the new M12 push-pull fast-connection technology.
