Solar Linear Actuator
24 October 2012
Increasing accuracy and efficiency in tracking the sun, a new SKF Solar Linear Actuator offers reduced maintenance costs in comparison to alternative solutions.

Designed to meet the demanding requirements of the solar power industry, it can be used with photovoltaics, concent - rating photovoltaics or concentrating solar power systems.
The robust design contributes to an increased level of reliability and drive protection. Higher static to dynamic load ratios permit solar power generation during high wind conditions, achieving greater positioning accuracy and exhibiting limited backlash for consistent tracking. Designed for 20-year service life, the actuators are said to be virtually maintenance-free.
