Planetary gearmotors
27 December 2014
Mclennan has launched a new planetary brushed DC gearmotor range from the Italian small motor specialists Micro-Motors. The PS150 is a compact 30mm diameter precision grade gearmotor with a 12 or 24 V DC nominal voltage rating and is available in a choice of 13 gear ratios from 3.4:1 to 87.7:1.

Nominal torque through the range is from 3 to 250Ncm. With its durable aluminium housing and 6mm diameter output shaft with dual bearing support, the high torque-to-size gearmotor has a maximum shaft load rating of 50N axial and 200N radial at 10mm from the front fixing flange.
The integral brushed DC motors include interference suppression electronics and feature rear output shafts for optional two-phase Hall-effect encoders or alternative position sensors that Mclennan is able to fit as a part of its custom design service.
