High performance & long life
19 August 2016
NSK has expanded its high performance standard range, known as NSKHPS rolling bearings, to bring higher load factors, smaller dimensions and greater energy efficiency to Europe’s machinery manufacturers and maintenance teams.

Although the first NSKHPS bearings were launched several years ago, today the product range is almost complete, and includes deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, angular contact ball bearings, precision angular contact ball bearings and axial angular contact ball bearings. Bore diameters extend from 10 to 280 mm, with dynamic load ratings from 2.37 to 3,800 kN depending on the application.
Bearings produced to the NSKHPS design offer innovations that include the use of ultra-clean steel and advanced surface processing of the raceways and rollers. The result is considerably higher dynamic load factors, which in turn promotes longer service life, reduced maintenance requirements and lower total cost of ownership. Further characteristics of NSKHPS bearings include increased limiting speed and very high running precision.
The new standard in NSKHPS bearings has been conceived to meet growing demand for drive components offering high performance, high rotational speeds, compact dimensions and exceptionally long service life. Features such as the high quality surface processing also promote low friction and higher energy efficiency of the bearings. In addition, due to the higher load factors, design engineers can select a smaller NSKHPS bearing in many instances and therefore create a more compact assembly.
