Introducing DM-50
03 May 2023
Used by customers worldwide for commercial and industrial applications, Control Techniques has been designing and manufacturing quality variable speed drives (VSDs) for electric motors since 1973
THERE IS a reason that Control Techniques has been at the forefront of the drives industry for 50 years. The company cares about its customers and goes above and beyond to deliver the right level of service and support to ensure its customers succeed where others don’t. The company's dedication to outstanding levels of innovation, design, knowledge, and expertise is at the core of everything it stands for and means that manufacturing drives with the latest technology, the highest performance and most efficiency is what Control Techniques does best.
To celebrate 50 years of being drive obsessed, the company has released a 50th anniversary short film that takes a look at its past but also paves the way for a bright and exciting future. It’s a story that shows Control Techniques' entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for challenging the status quo.
It also introduces a character that embodies the company's drives and innovation; that is dynamic and spirited, a character that represents Control Techniques' belief that no challenge is too great to overcome.
DM-50 represents everything good about Control Techniques and this is just the start of its journey to be an ambassador for the highly innovative drives business that puts leading technology at the forefront of everything it does.
Control Techniques is obsessed with drives; its technology empowers innovators to move the world. And the company is working with equally obsessed engineers; the kind that aren’t happy with one-size-fits-all. Delivering drives that are so flexible, they can be used as a base to build even better things.
With a product portfolio covering every drive feature you will need, from the smallest to the biggest application requirements, the stars of this show are:
Commander S
Commander S is the first drive to come with an app interface as a standard feature. The Marshal app is a revolutionary way to interface with the drive covering commissioning, monitoring, diagnostics and support. It has a feature set optimised for simple applications, Commander S provides a cost-effective solution for installations that require plug and play convenience straight from the box. With 3 frame sizes, it covers powers from 0.18 kW to 4 kW.
Commander C
Commander C combines efficiency and reliability to offer optimum performance for a wide range of applications. With 9 frame sizes, it covers powers from 0.25 kW to 132 kW. Essential features are built in, including PLC capabilities for simple programming needs, dual STO safety function (C300 variants only), braking transistor and PID control.
Unidrive
Unidrive is the accumulation of almost half a century of motor control expertise and is the embodiment of what Control Techniques is all about. Unidrive is our crown jewel. With 12 frame sizes and a modular approach, it covers powers from 0.75 kW to 2.8 MW.
Unidrive integrates, with all of its benefits, seamlessly into your system. Plus, with its scalable control and motion architecture, it's the drive for what you need today and for where you want to go tomorrow.
Digitax
Bringing superior performance to high dynamic, pulse duty applications, where high peak torque is essential for fast acceleration with the Digitax range. With 3 frame sizes, it covers power from 0.25 kW - 7.5 kW
Specialist drives
Drives dedicated to pumping, HVAC and elevators all enabled with the features required to suit each application. Making them the perfect drive choice to do a specific job.
With 12 frame sizes and a modular approach, Pump drive F600 and HVAC drive H300 covers powers from 0.75 kW to 2.8 MW. With eight frame sizes, Elevator drive E300 covers powers from 2.2 to 250kW.
