Design award
05 September 2013
Tsubaki Kabelschlepp has received an award in the product design category of the iF design award 2013 for its new TKA55 product concept.
The innovative TKA55 cable carrier received the iF product design award 2013 for the new design concept: the completely enclosed construction effectively prevents the ingress of contaminating particles. Optimised sideband and cover contours also prevent the impairment of functions due to adhesion or penetration of chips and dirt.
The interlocking covers fit tightly together and the smooth, dirt-repelling contour of the sidebands likewise prevents penetration by foreign objects.
TÜV NORD has tested and attested the impermeability of the TKA55 to IP54. All products in the TKA series are also optionally available in extremely heat-resistant versions: a special material that withstands temperatures up to 850°C protects the cables reliably against the adverse effects of hot chips, for example.
