Tough torque synchros
07 March 2014
Torque synchros from motion control specialists, Astrosyn International Technology, are used to transmit and receive angular variation data from a rotating shaft with extreme accuracy over a large distance.
This demanding requirement is often accompanied by the need to operate reliably for many years, without maintenance, in harsh environments.
Astrosyn’s latest model D1356 is a single shaft synchro, which operates on 200/220V at 50/60Hz and features transmitter/receiver TX-TR functionality. Its rugged build is suited to applications in hot, dusty and humid environments such as ships’ engine rooms, wind tunnels and steel mills. In these situations precise angular positioning of motor-driven surfaces can be controlled and adjusted with critical accuracy using the transmitter-receiver feedback loop.
