Enclosed rotary isolators
06 January 2014
Mainly used for isolating the incoming electrical supply to a machine or a piece of equipment, Switchtec's SCL IS series of rotary isolators can also be used as the main on/off switch or as an isolating switch for general isolating duties, or as emergency padlockable on/off switches in the contractor and control industries.
Suitable for outdoor use, the SCL isolators are protected to IP65 and are available in 20, 32, 40, 63, 80 and 100A AC three or four pole, and 25A DC double pole units.
Designed with the installer in mind, the logical positioning of the screw terminals inside the enclosures provides simple, quick and easy connection of cables. In addition to the switching poles, the IS range has extra earth and neutral terminals to give continuity of earth through the switch, which is essential for maximum safety, even in an all-plastic enclosed switch.
