Motion control module
16 October 2014
The most recent addition to zub machine control's MACS5 series is a high-performance motion control module for the control of intelligent drives and the synchronisation of many axles.

Typical applications are where many axles must be synchronised perfectly at high speed. For this purpose the high-performance Master-MACS offers ideal conditions with its fast control cycles (positioning control cycle 100μs). The maximum number of axles depends on the complexity and required update rate of the drives.
Interfaces are EtherCAT (master and slave) and Ethernet as well as RS232 and CANopen (master or slave).
As with all zub controls, the package includes APOSS-win automation software with public domain motion control library. Various tools are available for free programming, e.g. path control, interactive graphic editors such as CAM, Array and Path-Editor, debugging and optimisation, integrated graphic curve editor and smart oscilloscope as well as state machine support.
The Master-MACS was developed for the path control of engraving plotters, but is also suitable for all applications with many axles and high precision as in print finishing (feeder), for metering machines as well as packaging, filling and labelling machines. Hall 1 Stand 140
