Improved functionality
23 February 2016
As part of a process of continuous improvement, Bürkert has recently improved the functionality of the Type 869x positioners and controllers. Initially designed to operate Bürkert's Classic process valves, the Element range has also become established as a control mechanism for 3rd party process valves, especially in the food and beverage industry.
The latest improvements include ATEX and IECEx approvals for operation in Zones 2/22 and 1/21 where potentially explosive atmospheres may exist as well as an extension to the ambient operating temperature range, down to -10°C.
There has also been a considerable increase in the number of diagnostic features as well as the integration of this device family to the Bürkert Communicator tool which can configure and set the operational parameters for each controller and positioner.
