BLDC motor drive family expanded

25 April 2024

DELTA LINE has launched the newest addition to its BLDC Motor Drive Family –the Pegasus B360.

Building on the success of previous innovations like the compact Pegasus B072 (measuring just 39x39mm) and the high-power Leo B1400 & B2000, capable of driving Servomotors with Phase Currents up to 40A rms, the Pegasus B360 is reported to strike the perfect balance between integrability, cost-effectiveness, and performance. This modern drive caters to a wide spectrum of segments, from Intralogistics applications such as AGV or AMRs to Pumps systems, offering mid-power BLDC motors drive capabilities at an appealing price point.

Key Features:

  • Compact design, powerful performance: with dimensions of only 55x55mm and a weight ranging from 20 to 43g depending on the fieldbus option, the Pegasus B360 boasts an Output Power of up to 360W (Phase Current up to 12A rms), making it an ideal match for our extensive range of BLDC motors.
  • Versatile feedback options: whether utilizing a standard Incremental Encoder, Hall effect Sensors, or a Magnetic Absolute encoder, the Pegasus B360 ensures precise control and seamless integration.
  • Large choice of communication Fieldbuses: Delta Line motor drives are compatible with an array of communication fieldbuses, providing unparalleled versatility. Choose from options like RS485 ModBus RTU, CANopen, EtherCAT, Ethernet ModBus TCP, Profinet, PowerLink, and EtherNet/IP to tailor the communication protocol to your project's specific requirements.

Extended selection of Industrial Ethernet protocols:

  • Profinet: is a globally established and future-oriented Ethernet standard, ensuring long-term availability with particular data delivering strength, it offers value-added functions such as parallel TCP/IP communication, large configuration limits, and high speed.
  • PowerLink: an Ethernet protocol providing uncompromising performance and real-time capability with synchronisation accuracy. Providing a transmission speed of 100 Mbit/s, allowing even the most demanding areas in control engineering, CNC, and robotics to be combined in a single network.
  • EtherNet/IP: allowing your motor drives to be effortlessly integrated into existing Ethernet networks, EtherNet/IP is a communication protocol, providing the standard Ethernet technology with the TCP/IP suite for industrial automation applications while enabling Internet connectivity.
